Enfamil Points

Posted on October 17, 2007 in Fun-tivities, Stories & Random Thoughts by little mochi

Has anyone ever noticed that there are points on the UPC bar codes of every Enfamil can you purchase?

I called Enfamil to ask them what they were used for. Apparently, we used to be able to collect these points to be redeemed for items such as Lullaby cassettes, Peter Rabbit books, Peter Rabbit dinner sets, car seat straps, etc. However, Enfamil ended this program back in 1999, but decided to keep the points on the UPC bar codes. The customer rep told me that they don’t intend to offer this program anytime in the near future.

Oh well.

Darn!! I had a baby 7 months ago and I have been saving the Upc’s from Enfamil. 14 years ago I saved the Upc’s and received a Peter Rabbit dish set and a Peter Rabbit stuffed toy. I was hoping to do it again. But I guess not. I’m sorry to hear that they stopped the program.

Hi Elizabeth! I was so excited to see the points on the cans because I figured you can redeem them like those points on Betty Crocker products! They should take them off since it confuses people. But then again, it could be their marketing gimmick!

Oh I’m so glad someone asked about this! I’ve been saving them for the last 8 months. I guess I can throw them out now. What a waste of time that was! Thanks for posting this information though.

You can always double check by calling them…it was what was told to me when I called. Let me know what happens if you do decide to call. I’m sure they’ll tell you something different!

I called Enfamil at 1800baby123. Wanda, rep, said that they discontinued all programs with the UPC points and don’t plan on any other programs in the near future. Just throw them away.

I have a 15 year old son and when he was a baby I used to collect the points and redeem them for cute little items for baby. But I did call now that I have a 4 month old and I was told the same that they don’t have a points reward and there won’t be one in the near future. I made my comment by saying that they should have one especially when someone is being a good customer and using their products….come on the milk isn’t cheap and plus baby uses a lot. ENFAMIL should give a little back.

Thanks for posting your research. I am glad I found this site. I have been saving the Proof of purchase points as well and decided to check online what they were used for… now I know!

The fact that Enfamil decided to leave the points on the can of formula amounts to deception. We were certain these points lead to some sort of rebate or trades. We have three babies worth of these points. What other ways is Enfamil deceiving us?

    Tim,

I really think it’s a marketing tactic. They could have very well taken the points off since they stopped offering these “prizes” awhile ago.

I too have saved these “points” thinking that spending so much on formula would have some sort of plus to it. I believe too that they should have changed it seeing that I have noticed a difference in the scooper. They are just wasting thier own money in my opinion on ink, but I guess we are the ones paying for that huh? Maybe some day they will bring something back to do with them. 12 months worth of formula points, I am still going to hold on to them, who knows what will happen, it’s not as though they take up a lot of room. Look what happened to the Koolaid points.

When my 10yr old was born i got the peter rabbit stuff, 7 yrs ago I got a really cool ball toy was worth like $30 back then and now I am saving once again. I am going to continue to save
anyways cause its not like it takes any time away from anything and maybe by the time baby is off formula they will have something…

My twin babies are almost a year now, and I just noticed the points in the label, and I thought that I probably miss out on something good since I didn’t save them and pretty soon my babies won’t need the formula, but from what I’m reading I even feel relieved, sorry don’t blame me…

I too, have been saving the upc codes from enfamil, thinking that soon I would be able to redeem them for something nice for my grandaughter.Enfamil should remove the points from the cans of enfamil if their not going to honor them,as much money as they make from one can of formula they should at least offer some type of program.Deception,is what this is called.

I noticed the points from the very beginning and I\’ve been collecting them thinking that I could turn them in for things for the baby. I am very disappointed that enfamil discontinued this program and it is very deceptive of them to keep the points on the label. I wish they would start the program again.

well the weird thing is the company sent me a one time case of formula and it had points on it without upc’s.. i dont understand their logic.

I have been savin these points for fourteen months. i think they should atleast offer us a few coupons atleast for our time and effort.

i have been wondering myself about these points i have emailed enfamil about them and they haven’t returned my question. i guess this answers my question. you can earn points on their website by buying enfamil but its higher than in the stores.
